Built as an abbey in 1300, before becoming an important stately home for several centuries and, latterly, being restored as a magnificent holiday hideaway. Its glorious gardens encompass ponds and a peaceful Indian pavilion, lawned paths through scented plants and splendid symmetry, and buildings ablaze with bougainvillea and climbing roses. The 20m swimming pool is set in a pretty garden courtyard, flanked by a pool house with bar, barbecue, shaded terrace and a spa area with hammam and sauna. Within the property, timber raftered ceilings and huge stone arches span timelessly elegant country house décor, where various social spaces complement ten bedrooms, while two special suites are privately placed off the garden courtyard.

Facilities

Professional kitchen which can also be used by guests with assistance from the staff. For entertainment, there's wifi, TV in all bedrooms, large TV in library, DVD player, blue tooth speaker. Air-conditioning in all bedrooms. Villa essentials include hair dryers in all bedrooms, iron and ironing board, washing machine, yoga mats, bicycles, crocquet, table tennis. The villa also has a spa area, incorporating a treatment room, sauna and hammam. The concierge can arrange treatments (payable locally at additional charge).
Villa Rental Includes
One 'Meet and Greet' service at Catania Airport. Cook assisted by staff providing 3 meals per day (breakfast, lunch and dinner and drinks or snacks and canapes as required) between 08.00 - 2200 with some time off in the afternoon. Daily house keeping. Concierge services provided by (non-resident) Villa Manager for menu and excursion planning and reservations (boat hire, beaches, in-villa wellness and beauty treatments). Laundry services and bathroom ameneties. Additional charges: all food and beverages (shopping service charge €30 per trip), wine tasting, cookery classes, wellness and beauty treatments, ironing, boat rental, private guides, car and driver.
