Available as part of a tailor-made tour of the region by our Namibia specialists

Mowani is taken from the word M'Wane, meaning "Place of God", and it is here, that you will find the true meaning of peace and tranquillity. Mowani Mountain Camp nestles amongst the boulders of this beautiful area on a high spot commanding distant views over the ancient landscape. The luxury tented accommodation is built unobtrusively, to ensure minimum impact on the natural environment, and is the perfect place from which to explore the southern Damaraland and visit some of its geological and archaeological highlights. The Camp is set in the southernmost roaming ground for the rare black rhino and desert elephant.

Mowani Mountain Camp consists of 15 luxury rooms and suites, all with en-suite facilities, decorated beautifully in East African style. The luxury tents are all have a private wooden deck offering an open view of the wonderful Damara landscape.

Activities include guided nature drives in search of the elusive desert elephant, hiking through magnificent scenery or exploring the historical site of Twyfelfontein. Twyfelfontein is a rare example of Bushmen engravings and paintings occurring at the same site.
