Accommodation
The 134 bedrooms and suites (all sea facing) are spacious and open onto generous balconies or the garden. Beds are oversized with good linens and there is a maxibar topped with coffee and tea facilities. Bathrooms come with showers only and double sinks, separated from the bedroom by a window of glass. Amenities are MOMO from sustainable brand Davines. For extra space and luxury, stay in one of the Residences to benefit from 24/7 butler service, in-residence dining, plenty of gardens and a separate pool area.
Activities & Experiences
Slow down to a relaxing pace and explore all the hotel has to offer. In the mornings, join a restorative yoga session by the pool, a beautiful setting to breathe and reconnect with the body. At the AWAY Spa, you can enjoy professional pampering, massages and relaxing couples’ treatments.
There's also a hair salon and a mani-pedi bar, plus an exclusive wet area, offering a sauna, steam room, whirlpool, and outdoor space where you can soak in the views. For something more active, try the state-of-the-art equipment in the gym.
The hotel is within walking from distance from various attractions. Take just a five-minute stroll from the main swimming pool to Evaristo Beach, or hop on the shuttle bus for the 5 minute journey to another nearby beach, Praia do Castello. The hotel is a 10-minute drive from the fascinating Albufeira Old Town. A 30 minute drive takes you to Vilamoura, and a 10 minute drive to Albufeira Marina, where you can book a boat trip to the Algar de Bengali caves.
Facilities & Services
There is no shortage of choice of restaurants and bars at W Algarve, with a choice of five. The food is good throughout the hotel with the Portuguese chef mixing modern interpretations of international favourites with local cuisine in the Market Kitchen. In the W lounge, a small selection of tapas – think lobster and crab rolls – is available, and SIP@WET by the pool offers a range of sushi and poke bowls.
Rooftop terrace restaurant Paper Moon, a sibling to the original Milanese restaurant, serves authentic Italian cuisine.
Sink into a slow evening at Sea Sky Lounge, the best rooftop spot for drinks at dusk as the sun sets. Regular DJ sessions create a smooth summer ambience.
Breakfast is buffet only with fresh fruits and hot and cold dishes including smoked salmon and scrambled eggs.
Weather & Seasons
The Algarve has a mild climate with more than 300 days of sunshine a year. By June the weather generally settles into a pattern of long hot sunny days and balmy evenings especially in July and August. And September is lovely too. March, April and October are very pleasant.
Getting Here
Flying time from UK to Faro is 3 hours, followed by a 35 minute transfer to the hotel. We can arrange flights and car hire / transfers.
