Originally the keeper's cottage in the grounds of an historic private coastal estate, this little hideaway is now a charming boutique cottage that retains its authentic feel but comes with a private pool, air-conditioned bedrooms, crisp white décor and splashes of bright summer colours, particularly on the fabulous indigo blue shutters. Perfect for a family looking for character and delightful simplicity, plus peaceful seclusion (yet in easy walking distance to the shops and restaurants in old-world Ferragudo village) rather than one of the contemporary, super-lux all mod-con villas that the Algarve has become known for.
Accommodation
Refurbished to provide a contemporary twist, the cottage’s three bedrooms are simply furnished and fitted with air conditioning, and each with its own modern bath/shower room. The two twin rooms are on the split-level ground floor whilst the double bedroom is on the floor above. The living room leads to the kitchen area, and opens out to a gorgeous shaded terrace for al fresco meals, with views of the sea and sands, a portable barbecue, and built-in seating with brightly coloured cushions. Steps lead down to a private swimming pool set in timber decking and dotted with chairs, loungers and parasols.

Private pool 12.5m x 6.5m, 0.9m x 1.6m deep, portable BBQ, shaded seaview veranda with comfy seating and dining table.
Washing machine, dishwasher, hob, oven, micrwave. Basic wifi, TV, DVD player and iPod dock. Hairdryers and air-conditioning in all bedrooms.

Beach Cottage is just 200m from a broad sandy shore and 1km from the amenities of Ferragudo. Golf, tennis and water sports are all within a 4km drive. During the summer, there are beach restaurants and kayaks available for hire.
