One of the most luxurious and relaxing ways to explore the rivers and canals of France, aboard a beautifully appointed barge cruising at a stately pace through picturesque Burgundy. Each sensational adventure explores the region’s finest vineyards and legendary chateaux. Lilas is just one of Belmond’s luxury barges, known as ‘péniche-hôtels’, and operates from April to October on a choice of routes in Burgundy. Lilas is only available for private charter.

Accommodation

The 4 cabins aboard the Belmond Lilas are all ensuite with river views.

All cabins feature king sized beds (can be configured as twins), bedside tables, dressing/desk table with chair, wardrobe and armchairs. The ensuite bathrooms have twin washbasins and WC. One bathroom has a bath tub, plus separate shower, and three have walk-in showers.

All cabins have a safe and hairdryer, sockets suitable for two-pin 220 volt plugs, and individually controlled air-conditioning / heating units so you can adjust the temperature to your liking.

Barge Configuration

Lilas is 100ft (30.48m) long and 15.58ft (4.74m) wide. It has two decks, 4 cabins (sleeping up to 8 guests) and 6 crew.

The upper deck features a spacious, airy sitting room with panoramic windows and a partially glazed roof. To make the most of your chef's talents, Lilas has an elegant dining room, plus an alfresco dining deck, with a heated plunge pool beyond.

River Routes

Belmond Lilas operates in Burgundy, with 6 night itineraries from St. Leger sur Dheune to Pontallier and from Pontallier to St. Leger sur Dheune.

Guests will enjoy a completely tailor-made itinerary.
