Be sure to sample some of Amansara’s original trips that take in sights and sounds at Angkor and further afield. Try a romantic dinner for two in a traditional wooden house overlooking the royal bathing pond of Srah Srang, indulge in some spiritual cleansing with a blessing at Wat Athvea, which blends a modern pagoda with an ancient sandstone ruin,
or explore the jungle temple of Beng Mealea.
Facilities & Services
Amansara's Spa draws on Cambodian therapies and natural, organic products, with four soothing treatment rooms decked out in dark
wood and white. Each comes with a private relaxation area with a steam bath and shower, as well as chill-out views of a
reflection pond and Angkor-inspired bas-relief.
Amansara's circular dining room is the focal point for the hotel and serves fabulous Khmer and Western dishes. There is a walk-in wine and cheese cellar and casual lounging area but guests can also dine by the poolside or in their suite. Amansara has two lovely pools - one curved slate pool surrounded with comfy sun loungers and one lap pool for exercise.
Weather & Seasons
Cambodia is hot all year round and the best time to visit is during the dry season from November to April. It starts to get wetter in May and the wettest months are September and October. It is still possible to visit during this time as rain usually falls as short sharp storms. November is a fantastic month to visit Cambodia as it is very green after the rainy season and the lakes and rivers are full of water.
