Constance Aiyana is host to a main large swimming pool which looks out over the white sand beach and stunning Indian Ocean, as well as an impressive gym / Pilates studio and an indulgent wellness spa offering a range of treatments. Guests can enjoy a selection of free watersports, from kayaking, snorkelling and stand up paddle boarding, to being able to rent bicycles and explore the local area. Other activities that are payable range from scuba diving, fishing trips, yoga / pilates lessons, island visits and spice plantation tours.

Facilities & Services

Constance Aiyana is host to a main large swimming pool which looks out over the white sand beach and stunning Indian Ocean, as well as a restaurant with a shisha lounge, two shops selling local souvenirs and art work, as well as an impressive gym / Yoga / Pilates studio and an indulgent spa. Maji spa takes its name from the Swahili word for water, paying tribute to the element that plays a key role in so many healing rituals. There are four treatment rooms in the spa hut, which is scented with clove, soundtracked by the ocean and surrounded by lush, fragrant greenery. There are two single and two couples’ treatment rooms and a bath ceremony room.

Meals are provided at the main restaurant which is just set back from the beach and looks out over the ocean. The cuisine is all about bringing out the authentic African flavours and is a fusion of traditional Zanzibari and international dishes. Seafood is of course a big influence with fresh delicious fish available every day.

Weather & Seasons

Situated just south of the equator, temperatures on the Zanzibar archipelago average between 24°C and 27°C throughout the year with 7-9 hours of sunshine per day. There are 2 rainy seasons: sharp, brief showers in the morning last about an hour and occur for a couple of weeks during November. The rains last slightly longer in April and May, but even then it does not rain every day. These rains replenish the Island and are often referred to as the “Green Season”.

Getting Here
