The mid-sized rooms of the Hotel Botanico are carpeted, floral prints matching both the carver upholstery, and heavy drapes that frame floor-to-ceiling windows. The bathrooms are compact but adequate, and provide twin basins and tub/shower combos. Ask for a room with views of Mount Teide to make the most of the furnished balconies. Suites have the benefit of living rooms.

Hotel Botanico gives guests complimentary access to the Thermal Circuit in The Oriental Spa Garden whilst also offering an impressive selection of spa and beauty treatments (at a charge). Beautiful mature gardens feature an outdoor pool, a herb garden, and tree-shaded sitting areas around a huge pond that’s home to black swans, koi carp, turtles and other wildlife. The spa is the other headline-grabber. Set in Asian-themed gardens surrounding a lagoon-style pool, all manner of treatments are provided, some in a ‘secret’ cave behind a waterfall. Other hotel amenities include a putting green, tennis courts and a gym, as well as a billiards room and a piano lounge.

Tenerife has a warm year-round climate with practically no rain from April to October. The winter months from December to March enjoy highs of 21°C and for the rest of the year the temperature ranges from 24°C - 28°C.
