A spacious, traditional, recently restored luxury farmhouse in Provence surrounded by mature gardens, at the heart of Lauris - a typical Provençal hilltop village. Sleeping up to 10, this charming 5 bedroom property is furnished in country-chic style with lots of indoor and outdoor space for relaxing and entertaining. An al fresco dining area looks out to lawns and lavender beds and, beside the 11m swimming pool, a shady pergola adjoins a well-planned pool house with a bathroom and small kitchen. 

Accommodation

The ground floor has a large living/dining room with open fire and double vaulted ceilings, kitchen, family sitting room with library, home cinema and pool table, plus there's a study and a cloak room. On the first floor, there's the Master Suite with king-size bed with sitting room and en suite bathroom, plus two en suite double bedrooms (both with an additional single bed), and a further twin bedroom and double bedroom

that share a shower room with WC.

Private swimming pool 11m x 5m, 1m to 2.3m deep. Washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, chef sized traditional stove, espresso machine, blender, juicer, satellite TV, hi-fi, air-conditioning (all bedrooms), wifi, BBQ, pool table, table tennis, table football, boules pitch. Pool house with sitting room, small kitchen, bathroom and restroom.

Villa Rental Includes

Neighbourhood

A five minute stroll from restaurants and shops in Lauris. Further choice 5km away in Lourmarin. Places of interest nearby include La Roque d’Anthéron (5km), Bonnieux (16km), Aix en Provence (25km), L’isle sur la Sorgue (37km) and Avignon (45km).

Weather & Seasons

Provence enjoys a pleasant, Mediterranean climate. On average, Provence gets 300 days of sunshine each year, with warm but mild temperatures. Summer is high season here, with August bringing the hottest weather with highs of around 28°C. Spring is a great time of year, the weather is warm (swaying between 16°C and 20°C) and the crowds are small. If you want to see lavender fields then it would be best to visit the region in June. In October the weather starts to cool. 

Getting Here

It's around 2 hours flying time from UK to Marseilles. La Grande Maison is a 64km drive from the airport. Alternatively, you could take the train to Aix en Provence (25km away) and hire a car from there.
