The 30 acre Relais & Châteaux Montpelier estate offers a secluded hillside sanctuary above the Caribbean with the original windmill, plantation house and verdent gardens having been restored to their former glory. All of the 16 spacious rooms, the two-bedroom Tamarind Suite, Garden Suite and The Little House are dressed in an elegant and contemporary style are flooded with light and their private verandas have gorgeous views of the lush hillside and the sea. The hotel's private beach, on the calmer side of the island, has private cabanas, beach loungers and a beach bar and lounge area just perfect for relaxation.

Accommodation

There are just 19 rooms and suites at this Caribbean idyll. All have either kind-size bed (with a canopy or four-poster) or twin beds. Multiple louvered windows (fitted with mesh screens), ceiling fan, individual air conditioning, tea & coffee making facilities, iron & ironing board, personal safe, hair dryer, bathrobes, bathroom amenities Gilchrist & Soames. There is a twice-daily maid service.

Activities & Experiences

Guests benefit from exclusive use of the hotel’s private beach, which is an easy 15 minute drive from the hotel. There's a complimentary shuttle that leaves the hotel daily (from 10.30am) and guests can arrange their preferred return time. On the beach' there are six private cabanas offering shade and seclusion, a bar and lounge decking area with oversized couches, a Beach Attendant for beverage service, plus changing facilities with a bathroom and shower. There’s also snorkelling equipment for guests’ complimentary use.

Housing three completely distinctive, but equally charismatic eateries, dining at Montpelier Plantation & Beach provides a taste of the freshest, most innovative, Caribbean cuisine, using quality organic products. Indigo offers casual lunches and dinners, Mill Privee offers fine dining and tasting menus, whilst Restaurant 750 serves gourmet meals and al fresco dining above the seductive lights of St. Kitts and Nevis. In addition, each luxury villa boasts a fully equipped gourmet kitchen, perfect if you wish to prepare your own creations.

Montpelier Plantation Spa Suite is a delightful oasis, surrounded by peaceful tropical gardens. Here, guests can enjoy massages, body treatments and facials performed by the attentive Therapists. Alternatively, guests are able to enjoy their spa treatments in the privacy of their guest room or on their secluded terrace. Guests can also enhance their wellbeing by indulging in private yoga, Pilates and meditation.

Weather & Seasons

The best time to visit Nevis runs from December to April (peak season). Most popular months are February and March, which are the driest. 

Getting Here

Direct flights from London to the neighbouring island of St Kitts, followed by a private car transfer to your boat, followed by another car transfer to the hotel.
