Set on the shores of Lake Pichola, in the heart of Udaipur, one of the most romantic and beautiful cities in India, Oberoi Udaivilas is a luxurious haven built in the style of Mewari palace. The interiors, embellished with decorative domes, hand painted frescoes, intricate mirror work and beautifully crafted artifacts, create an ambience of regal splendour. Even arriving at this hotel is an enchanting experience - a short boat ride across Lake Pichola transports you to a ceremonial welcome at the resort.

The hotel's 86 rooms have terraces that open on to semi-private swimming pools and sublime vistas. Inside, décor is decidedly opulent, featuring inlaid furniture, Rajput inspired decoration and marble bathrooms. Suites have private swimming pools and outdoor dining pavilions.

Activities & Experiences

Udaipur is an enchanting city in the heart of Rajasthan. Also known as "the city of lakes", Udaipur is surrounded by the Aravalli Mountains and regal palaces of marble and sandstone. Some of the top attractions include the City Palace Museum, Crystal Gallery, Fateh Sagar Lake and its majestic lakeside gardens. The hotel offers complimentary yoga classes, whilst spa treatments, cookery classes, astrology sessions, village tours and camel and elephant riding are an additional charge.

Facilities & Services

Facilities include a spa offering a wide range of body treatments, holistic therapies and massages, plus yoga and meditation, and a fitness centre. There are two stunning swimming pools, two restaurants serving both Indian and other cuisines from around the world, alternatively guests can also enjoy picnic lunches aboard a private gondola. The property adjoins a small wildlife reserve where peacocks, wild boar and deer roam - so your stay here really has an enhanced feeling of getting away from it all.
