Vila Joya is a boutique hotel located in a secluded area of the Algarve coast, surrounded by gorgeous gardens, and enjoying direct access to a picturesque sandy beach. Formerly a private summer residence, this boutique hideaway is now one of the most lovely privately-run hotels in the region. The property is characterised by its beautiful design and unique, untouched location.

There are just 13 spacious rooms and 9 suites at Vila Joya, all with direct sea views, a casual sense of home style with light, warm tones and natural materials like linen, fine wool, stone and wood. The region’s Moorish history is reflected in Portuguese craftsmanship: fireplaces, hand-painted azulejos, locally made terracotta tiles, dark brown Portuguese cork flooring, Tadelakt plaster and natural stone showers bear testament to the owner’s ties with the local region. Each room includes a terrace or balcony, some with direct access to the garden.
Activities & Experiences
Vila Joya has a heated swimming pool and a quiet beach with direct access from the hotel gardens. The 350m2 Spa has a second pool, an outdoor whirlpool, a sauna, steam bath, three treatment rooms (facials, manicures, pedicures, soothing massages and invigorating body treatments are all on offer), cosy relaxation rooms and a fitness area overlooking the sea.

There's a major focus on gastronomy at Vila Joya, offering Michelin-starred dining at the main restaurant for lunch and dinner. There is also a pool-side bar restaurant open for lunch and a small beach restaurant for lighter dining.
Weather & Seasons
The Algarve has a mild climate with more than 300 days of sunshine a year. By June the weather generally settles into a pattern of long hot sunny days and balmy evenings especially in July and August. September is lovely too. March, April and October are very pleasant.
Getting Here
Flying time from UK to Faro is 3 hours, followed by a 30 minute transfer to the hotel.
