The Banyan Tree has its own luxury river cruise available for guests to be taken straight from the hotel's pier. On top of this, they offer plenty of personalised experiences from discovering local villages (such as Fuli Old Town and the Mazu Temple), kayaking along the Li River, mountain trekking, and uncovering beautiful contemporary Chinese art. There are also daily excursions to the Karst Cave and the opportunity to take an art painting class.

Weather & Seasons
The best time to visit the region is from October to December. March to May is also a good time to visit, but expect occasional showers. January and February is generally damp and drizzly, whilst in June to September is it hot and humid with possible heavy rains.
Getting Here
The nearest airport is Guilin Liang Jiang International about 110km away. Flying time from Hong Kong to Guilin is approx. 90 minutes, from Shanghai it's 2 hours 40 minutes and from Xi'an it's 2 hours. We recommend the half day cruise down the Li River from Guilin in order to reach Banyan Tree Yangshuo. Alternatively, the resort is approximately 1.5 hours by car from the airport.
