The Sofitel Legend Peoples Grand Hotel is set on the former Imperial Palace grounds in the heart of Xian, a Chinese town shrouded in ancient history. Within walking distance of the City Wall, Great Mosque and Goose Pagodas, this grand building is reminiscent of the spectacular Soviet Palaces of Russia, built to impress and display a sense of power and luxury. Originally established in 1953, the hotel has been completely refurbished, reopening its doors as a luxury hotel in 2014.

Weather & Seasons

Spring time from March to May is generally considered the best time to visit, before it gets too hot. September and October are also ideal if you like it slightly cooler.

Getting Here

Flying time from Beijing or Guilin to Xian is 2 hours, from Shanghai it's 2 hours 40 minutes, and from Hong Kong it's 3 hours. From Xian airport to Sofitel Legend Peoples Grand Hotel it's a 45 minute transfer by car.
