Accommodation at Belmond Las Casitas comprises 20 luxury casitas, each with an expansive bedroom and seating area, a large bathroom with bathtub and indoor and outdoor shower and a private terrace with heated plunge pool. The casitas combine traditional decoration with modern technology, including Wi-Fi, iPod deck and under floor heating.

Activities & Experiences

Covering 14 hectares of Colca Canyon, there are plenty of walks and treks within the hotel grounds. The more adventurous can venture further into the canyon accompanied on horseback. Bird watchers and enthusiasts will want to keep a keen eye on the skies around Colca Canyon. Rise early at dawn and enjoy the sight of impressive condors riding the warm air currents. You can get up close to other creatures too. Feed alpacas at the property’s on-site farm and learn about traditional Peruvian farming techniques.

Belmond Las Casitas has its own farm, vegetable garden and trout pond, providing much of the organic produce used in the restaurant. The best time to visit the Colca Canyon is usually during the dry season: May to November: The Colca Valley is lush and green just after the heavy rains from January to March. Though sunny during the day, temperatures can fall below freezing at night.
