Castell Son Claret, Mallorca

Magnificent, luxurious, boutique Mediterranean island hotel with a two Michelin-star restaurant

5 nights from around £850pp sharing on bed and breakfast basis, including flights and transfers

Set in over 100 acres of beautiful gardens and parkland, at the foot of La Tramuntana Mountains, this country estate (dating back to 1450) has been magnificently restored to exacting standards to become one of Spain’s most luxurious hotels, with a two Michelin star restaurant and a gorgeous spa.

Accommodation

Castell Son Claret has just 38 guest rooms and suites. Each room is uniquely decorated with dark woods and classic furnishings in typical Mallorquín style; most rooms have balconies overlooking the grounds. Suites are located independently from the main hotel building to ensure guests enjoy even greater privacy and increased space. Some suites have private pools.

Activities & Experiences

The hotel has indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a lovely spa, fitness studio, tennis court and offers yoga and meditation classes, and cookery classes. Cycling enthusiasts can head out on guided rides directly from the hotel or, for those who prefer to ride alone, the high quality bikes can be rented out with GPS devices programmed with up to six individual tours.

Beyond the grounds, the Serra de Tramuntana mountains boast their own unique history and have been awarded World Heritage status by UNESCO as an area of cultural importance. Amongst countless significant sites is Lluc Sanctuary, a place of pilgrimage and cultural symbol of Mallorca. Explore the enchanting, essential defence towers and castles that protected the coast from the threat of invasion for centuries.

Facilities & Services

Castell Son Claret prides itself on its exceptional cuisine - and for good reason! In the Michelin-starred Zaranda restaurant, executive chef, Fernando Pérez Arellano, prepares full-flavoured dishes from market-fresh local ingredients, whilst Olivera offers a delicious mix of Mediterranean-inspired cuisine.

Weather & Seasons

Mallorca is a year-round destination and probably best in late Spring and early Autumn. During the summer (June through to September) there's very little rain and daytime temperatures average around 27°C, and it gets a few degrees warmer in July and August. In October and November the temperatures are around 23°C mark and you can still swim in the sea. The winter is extremely mild, with daily highs of around 15°C. In Spring, temperatures climb up into the low twenties and the hours of sunshine approach double figures again.

Getting Here

Palma airport is a 40 minutes from the airport. If you're staying for more than a couple of days, we recommend hiring a car so you can explore the island. Whatever you prefer, we will arrange everything for you.
