Entamanu Ngorongoro, Tanzania

Luxury eco-camp. The only place where you can watch sunrise over the crater and set over the Serengeti

Only available as part of your tailor-made safari holiday, created for you by our destination specialists

Entamanu Ngorongoro sits on the crater’s rim in a completely remote area, enjoying a southward view deep into the crater and its vast amounts of wildlife; whilst to the northwest you can see the plains of the Serengeti, Olduvai Gorge and the Gol Mountains. There’s nowhere else in the world where you can watch the sun rise over the Ngorongoro crater and set over the Serengeti.

Accommodation

There are just 6 tents at Entamanu Ngorongoro, two of which are suitable for families. Each room has an en-suite bathroom with flushing toilet, running hot and cold water and indoor heating, enabling the camp to be open year round.

Activities & Experiences

During a stay, guests can enjoy game drives into the crater, guided walks, bush picnics, exploring the surrounding highlands and interacting with neighbouring Maasai communities. As well as the game drives in the Ngorongoro Crater, a longer stay here allows you to explore the unspoilt beauty of the Empakal and Olmoti craters by foot.

Facilities & Services

The camp offers an outstanding setting and a completely removable structure meaning minimum impact on this unique location. However Entamanu Ngorongoro does not compromise on elegance and comfort.

Weather & Seasons

Tanzania is a large country, with a varied climate. Generally, the long rains run from March to May - the temperature is warm and the humidity is high. June to October is the long dry season, and the short rains are in November and December, much lighter than the long rains. January and February are again dry (the short dry season) so this is another good time to visit.

Getting Here

There are regular scheduled flights from around Tanzania to Manyara Airstrip. It is then approximately a 2 hour drive to the camp. Alternatively Arusha, Tarangire, Karatu and southern Serengeti are easy driving distances away.
