Luxury, traditional safari lodge set deep in the heart of game-rich Maasai land, with just 10 spacious cottages. Its perch in the Kuka Hills of the north eastern Serengeti is perfectly positioned for the chance to witness the Great Migration heading north in July/August or heading back south again in October/November.
Accommodation
Klein's Camp has just 10 thatched stone cottages, and creates an experience that's both personal and intimate. Whitewashed walls and rich wooden floors, combined with soft cream furnishings, create a calming sanctuary from the adventures of the day. Inspired by the breathtaking natural backdrop, relax on your private veranda with a pair of binoculars.
Activities & Experiences
Highly trained guides and Maasai trackers will do their very utmost to delight guests with a choice of activities including twice daily game drives - exploring the endless plains of the Serengeti on early morning and late afternoon / evening game drives in open 4x4 safari vehicles. Bush walks - in between morning and afternoon game drives explore the African bush on a leisurely walk in the surrounds of the Camp, accompanied by an armed guide and Maasai tracker.
Facilities & Services
The Camp has a large beautifully furnished open-sided bar/sitting area with a central fireplace, just a short walk from the dining room, both with sweeping views of the valley and surrounding hills. There is a swimming pool and deck tucked into the hillside. Wifi is available in certain areas.
Weather & Seasons
We suggest that Klein's Camp is best visited in October / November for the returning Great Migration. Broadly speaking, June to October is the long dry season, and the 'short rains' are in November and December. These are much lighter than the 'long rains' from March to May when humidity is high. January and February are again dry (the short dry season) and this is another good time to visit.
Getting Here
Klein's Camp has its own airstrip. After landing, it's an easy 60 minute game drive to the camp.
