Weather & Seasons
Egypt has year-round sun, and almost no rain. Daytime temperatures range from pleasantly warm in the winter to very hot in the summer. Northerly cities such as Cairo and Alexandria are generally about 5ºC cooler than southerly areas such as Aswan and Abu Simbel.
Getting Here
Flying time from UK to Cairo is 5 hours, followed by a 60 minute flight to Luxor and then a 15 minute private transfer. There are several daily flights, so there's no need to stay overnight in Cairo unless you wish to.
