The Sandpiper, Barbados

Luxurious, elegant boutique 5* hotel on a pristine white sand beach overlooking the bay of St James

7 nights from £2,100pp, including flights and private transfers

The Sandpiper is located on the island's west coast on the long white sandy bay of St James. A member of 'Small Luxury Hotels of the World', this luxury boutique has an elegant yet informal atmosphere and the wooden-shuttered island-style buildings, spread amid 7 acres of beautiful tropical gardens, overflowing with hibiscus and sweet scented bougainvillea and shaded by tall coconut palms.

The Sandpiper has 48 Garden Rooms, 1 and 2 Bedroom Suites and Treetop Suites. The interiors are beautifully designed, decorated and furnished in cool, muted colours to create a stripped back chic that's a real contrast with the vibrant colours of the surrounding gardens. All rooms have lovely views over the gardens, pool or Caribbean Sea and feature: king size bed or two twin beds, spacious individually designed interiors, Egyptian cotton bed linen, private balcony or terrace with chaise longues, air conditioning and ceiling fans, hairdryer, safe, iPod docking stations, toaster, fridge - and fresh flowers upon arrival.
