Villa des Orangers, Marrakech

Boutique 5* hotel with the authentic feel and style of a luxury riad

3 nights from around £475pp sharing (low season), including daily breakfast, flights and transfers

Villa des Orangers is a lovely, intimate, boutique sanctuary in the heart of the Medina, with the feel of a riad but the facilities of a 5 star hotel. This little gem has verdant gardens, roof terraces, luxury accommodation, three pools, a spa and two gastronomic restaurants, and is in easy strolling distance to Jemaa El Fna Square, the Koutoubia mosque and the Medina's extraordinary warren of souks.

Accommodation

Villa des Orangers is a Relais & Châteaux property with 27 rooms and suites, many with private rooftop terraces with magical views of the city or the Atlas Mountains, or both. We recommend booking a room with a rooftop terrace to ensure an extra special stay. The Deluxe Rooms are Moroccan in style with rich colours and dark wooden furnishings, whilst the Junior Suites are more spacious with larger sitting areas. The Master Suite is spread over two floors with a sitting room with desk and fireplace downstairs and a spacious bedroom and bathroom with balcony overlooking the pool and garden upstairs. All rooms and suites have air conditioning and heating, TV, ipod docking station, safe and minibar. There is also a private 2 bedroom riad with a winter lounge and small pool.

Activities & Experiences

Swimming or relaxing by the pool, or enjoying a massage and beauty treatments are all part of a stay at Villa des Orangers, but so is getting out and about to explore the sights and sounds of the Pink City. We recommend a private guide if you want to maximise the experience. Marrakech is surrounded by a fabulous choice of excursions and activities, including golf, horse riding and trekking in the Atlas Mountains.

Facilities & Services

The beautiful and peaceful central courtyard, shaded by orange trees, is a lovely spot for breakfast, whilst the rooftop terrace is a real sun trap and great for afternoon tea. Gourmet Moroccan, French and Mediterranean cuisine is served at Villa des Orangers in the lovely dining room or at one of the riad's salons or terraces. There are a choice of swimming pools, a gorgeous hammam with therapeutic and beauty treatments available, cigar cellar and three salons with fireplaces.

Weather & Seasons

Marrakech is best avoided during the peak summer months of July and August - it's simply too hot!  But for the rest of the year you can expect it to be warm and sunny.  For example you can expect highs of 20°C in December and January, 25°C in March and 29°C in May and October.
