Royal Palm Marrakech

Royal Palm Marrakech is a spectacular resort hotel located 20 minutes outside the city's world famous Medina, set in hundreds of acres of landscaped grounds, and facing the majestic snow-capped Atlas Mountains. The rooms, suites and villas are the epitome of sophisticated luxury - something to suit all tastes and budgets - and the array of facilities and services are second to none in Morocco. The health and fitness club offers yoga, tennis, squash, a well equipped gym and an outdoor lap pool, plus there's a large free-form pool in front of the hotel, dotted with sun loungers. The Clarins Spa offers an enticing range of treatments and therapies and an indoor pool. There's even an 18 hole championship golf course in the grounds. Children will love the Kids' Club (for ages 3 to 12) and a baby sitting service is available. With a fabulous year-round climate and a selection of highly regarded restaurants, Royal Palm Marrakech is definitely worth considering.

For beach lovers, we recommend Paradis Plage on Morocco's wild west coast (about 40 minutes north of Agadir). It's a great value resort with huge, well-appointed bedrooms and suites, set on a magnificent 3 mile beach, perfect for body boarding and surfing, and has a wonderful yoga studio on the beach, an outdoor cinema, complimentary kids' club, and both Moroccan and international cuisine. The seafood is particularly good, and the daily catch comes up the beach a couple of hundred yards from the hotel. During the school holidays and half terms, Paradis Plage is an excellent option for families. Whilst everywhere else in Morocco is frighteningly hot in the summer months, the cooling Atlantic breeze keeps the temperatures down to a comfortable 25C / 77F, making this an excellent year-round holiday destination. For those looking for a romantic long weekend (or longer), there's nothing quite as delightfully relaxing as this gorgeous little sanctuary. Have a look around Dar Zemora

In the argan and olive tree clad hills 10 minutes outside Essaouria, terraced boutique hotel Le Jardin des Douars feels like an undiscovered secret. Shrouded by palms and bougainvillea, domed villas nestle in bountiful walled gardens; French chic and North African exuberance abound in the nooks and alcoves of this laid-back palace. This luxurious retreat is one of Sir Richard Branson's worldwide collection of boutique hotels, and is an idyllic place to discover the magnificent Atlas Mountains. It's not cheap (but there's frequently a free night offer) and our clients all say it's worth every penny.
