Accommodation

The 116 elegantly designed one, two and three bedroom villas are extremely private and all have their own swimming pools and a garden area with high surrounding walls - perfect for romantic getaways, family trips and friends travelling together. The villas themselves are very spacious, with high ceilings and an unwavering use of high-end finishing using Mayan and Asian designs. Technology is state-of-the-art and comfort is paramount, with surround sound and 42-inch plasma TVs, a wide choice in pillows, and huge bathrooms.

Activities & Experiences

Enjoy a relaxing massage or some hydro therapy at the spa, join in a yoga class, take a leisurely boat trip through the mangroves looking for wildlife, relax at the beach club or enjoy a round of golf at the El Cameleón Golf Club (or drastically improve your game at the Jim McLean Golf Academy), the only PGA Championship golf course in Latin America. The 18 hole course winds through mangroves, jungle and has some stunning ocean views. Visits can also be arranged to nearby Mayan ruins such as Tulum and Coba. Scuba diving, snorkelling, swimming in cenotes, dolphin encounters, zip-lining, sailing, and guided jungle tours can also be organised.

Families

Children are welcome at Banyan Tree Mayakoba and the larger villas and three-bedroom Town House offer perfect accommodation for families. Baby equipment including cots, extra beds, buggies, monitors and high chairs can all be provided on request. Babysitting can also be arranged and for children under 12 there is an informal kids club running from 9am to 5pm, with a variety of activities including eco tours, video games, board games and beach fun.
