The hiking and mountain biking opportunities in the magnificent surrounding countryside are endless - just pick your preferred distance and degree of difficulty. Nearby, there are excellent golf courses, and Franschhoek is only 30 minutes east (and Cape Town is 40 minutes west).

Weather & Seasons

The Winelands are a wonderful year-round destination and seasons are the opposite to the northern hemisphere. So the best time to visit is from September to March when it is hot, sunny and dry. From April to August it cools down with some rain.
