Depending on time of travel, you can also visit the lesser known site of Dendarah north of Luxor.

Facilities & Services

The upper sundeck has both shaded areas and sun loungers that are ideal for soaking up the sun; and a refreshing pool to cool off in. Gourmet food (everything prepared in the kitchen is done so with mineral water) is served in the restaurant, and there's a spacuious and very comfortable Bar & Lounge and the Art Deco-inspired public spaces make it easy to find a quiet corner from which to observe life along the Nile. Laundry facilities and internet access are available at an extra charge. All meals and mineral water are included, whilst other beverages are available at an extra charge. In the event that you need a doctor, it's good to know that there's one on board. Excursions to the Nile’s greatest monuments are led by expert Egyptologists at a ratio of 10 to 12 guests per expert.

Weather & Seasons

Egypt has year-round sun, and almost no rain. Daytime temperatures range from pleasantly warm in the winter to very hot in the summer. Northerly cities such as Cairo and Alexandria are generally about 5ºC cooler than southerly areas such as Aswan and Abu Simbel.

Getting Here

Departures are from Luxor or Aswan. To reach the docks, we recommend flying from Cairo to either destination. To Luxor it's an hour, and to Aswan it's 90 minutes. There are several daily flights, so there's no need to stay overnight in Cairo unless you wish to.
