Six Senses Thimphu Lodge, Bhutan

Luxury mountain retreat in the heart of the Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan

Available as part of your tailor-made tour of Bhutan

Set within apple orchards and pine forests, yet within easy reach of the capital’s attractions, Six Senses Thimphu nestles on a hillside overlooking the twinkling lights of Thimphu (the world’s only national capital with no traffic lights) in the valley below. At 7,700 feet, this luxury lodge is surrounded by richly forested mountains sprinkled with ancient monasteries and temples.

Accommodation

Six Senses Thimphu Lodge has just 25 luxurious and spacious suites and villas, starting from 720sq.ft for the Lodge Suites and up to 3,350sq.ft for the Three Bedroom Villa.

Activities & Experiences

Our mission is to help you discover all that the Kingdom has to offer by creating inspiring, educational and fun activities for you to enjoy, from cultural activities to hiking and discovering nature, Six Senses Thimphu has something special for everyone. Nearby excursions may include a private guided visit to the massive and magnificent Buddha at Buddha Point, meeting the monks who study at the little-visited Talakha Monastery, or spending some time learning archery, Bhutan's national sport. Of course, within the Lodge, you can greet the day with a yoga class or pamper yourself with an indulgent spa treatment.

Facilities & Services

Even though you feel like you've traveled back in time during your stay in Bhutan, it doesn't mean that you cannot enjoy exceptional cuisine. The culinary and mixology teams at Six Senses draw inspiration from local herbs and plants, crafting nutritious and tasty menus and cocktails (try the butterfly-pea flower daquiris), and the Lodge's restaurant excels in healthy cuisine and Asian specialties plus authentic Bhutanese dishes such as momos dumplings with a fiery ezay sauce.

Tailor-Made Journeys

You may visit a single lodge or, if you're curious about everything that Bhutan has to offer, we can plan a tailor-made journey that will include a combination of Thimphu, Punakha, Gangtey, Bumthang and Paro. Six Senses have developed a selection of 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10 night journeys which can readily be adapted to suit everyone's individual preferences or fully modified in to an entirely bespoke tour of the Kingdom.

Whatever you select, you will travel back in time and enjoy a journey that few people have had the opportunity to experience.
