A gorgeous boutique lodge located just outside Cape Town at the base of Chapman's Peak, with stunning views over majestic Hout Bay. Each of the 11 individually decorated suites (all with private decks) has a view of the ocean and Sentinel Hill across the bay. Set in a peaceful mountain reserve, this is the place to stay if you want to be immersed in nature and enjoy the feel of the wild Atlantic, yet still have easy access to the city.

With just 11 suites, Tintswalo offers privacy, peace and personal service, just a short drive away from the hustle and bustle of cosmopolitan Cape Town. Each suite features luxurious furnishings, outdoor decking, wood fires, espresso machines, premium amenities and en suite bathrooms with magnificent bath tubs and rain showers. All suites have their own unique view of the ocean and the towering Sentinel across the bay.

Activities & Experiences

Activities around the lodge include various treatments at the spa, whale watching at certain times of year and the surrounding mountain reserve has a multitude of paths and walkways for visitors to enjoy. Guests may also wander along the pebbled beach (the nearest sandy beach is in Hout Bay) and the vast sweep of nearby Noordhook beach is fabulous for a morning or evening stroll. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service to local restaurants, Cape Town and the V&A Waterfront.

Tintswalo Atlantic has a lounge, bar, small wine cellar, dining room and interactive kitchen. The common element shared by all are the breathtaking views of the sea and mountains. From the long wooden deck with its heated Jacuzzi pool and comfortable loungers, there's a distinct feel of being suspended over the ocean.

Weather & Seasons

Year-round destination. The summers (from November to March) are peak season and you can expect warm, dry weather, with temperatures 20-40°C. Mid season (Apr, May, Sep, Oct) can also be gorgeous but with more variable weather, with temperatures between 10-30°C.
