Belmond La Residencia is a luxury boutique hotel ideal for both couples and families, perched beside the pretty village of Deià in the foothills of the majestic Tramuntana mountains on the island's beautiful north-west coast.

Accommodation

73 rooms and suites and one 3 bedroom private villa. All are individually designed with its own unique character, and many inter-connect for families. Rooms are spacious with high beamed ceilings, junior suites feature a balcony, terrace or small private garden while the suites offer the luxury of a private plunge pool. The rooms and suites are adorned with local antiques and art work giving them a more traditional feel. The villa has three double bedrooms, a living area with open fire, fully equipped kitchen and dining room and a private heated swimming pool, perfect for larger families or groups of friends.

Activities & Experiences

La Residencia is perfect for doing as much or as little as you feel. Indulge in the spa, lap one of the two pools, book a tennis lesson, enjoy a cooking class, wander into the nearby village of Deiá or trek up in to the Tramuntana mountains. The clear waters of Cala Deiá nearby are wonderful for snorkelling and diving, but you could also try your hand at coasteering, kayaking or canyoning.

Facilities & Services

The award-winning El Olivo Restaurant has an elegant atmosphere and serves delicious Mediterranean and local dishes complemented by its extensive wine list. Café Miro is a bar and bistro serving lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. You can choose to sit al fresco during the summer months or cosy up by the log fires in the winter. The Pool Restaurant offers a range of locally-sourced Mediterranean specialities beside the main swimming pool. Son Fony offers a daily Mediterranean buffet breakfast whilst spoiling you with views of the Tramuntana Mountains.

Families

The hotel offers its own supervised kids club in the high season for ages 4 and up, from 10.00 - 18.00, offering fun filled days of activities with arts and crafts sessions, cooking and donkey rides. Not to mention the hotels own artist in residence who encourages budding Picasso's to tap into their creative side. Babysitters are also available on request.

Weather & Seasons

Mallorca is a year-round destination and arguably best in late Spring and early Autumn. During the summer (June through to September) there's very little rain and daytime temperatures average around 27°C, and it gets a few degrees warmer in July and August. In October and November the temperatures are around 23°C mark and you can still swim in the sea.
