Shandrani Resort & Spa is an all inclusive luxury five star resort set on a private peninsula in the south east of the island, surrounded by the Blue Bay Marine Park and three beaches. It's an informal and relaxed resort, with elegant wood and stone buildings blending beautifully into the surroundings. With its extensive range of complimentary land and water sports, good choice of restaurants, and a fantastic spa, Shandrani is an ideal location for families and couples - and great value!

Accommodation

All rooms and suites are spacious and spread out amongst the award-winning gardens, and no room is far from the beach. All rooms, apartments and suites include air-conditioning, private bathroom with bathtub, shower and WC, king size or twin beds, minibar, safe, hairdryer, international direct dialling telephone, free WiFi, television with satellite channels and complimentary tea and coffee facilities.

Activities & Experiences

Shandrani Resort & Spa is a haven for water sports lovers. From diving to sailing, from kite surfing to kayaking, it's possible to spend the entire day on the water. For those who prefer to stay dry, there are extensive tennis facilities, a gym, and a 9 hole pitch and putt golf course. Shandrani has the only National Geographic PADI-Diving Centre in the Indian Ocean and offers a comprehensive diving programme. Explore ancient wrecks off the Southern coast and discover sizzling aquariums of tropical fish on the island’s pristine reefs.

Families

The Bob Marlin Mini Club at Shandrani is free and welcomes children aged 3 - 12 years, 7 days a week. The club is open from 09.00 to 22.00 daily (closed between 16.00 and 18.00).  The mini club is run by qualified professionals who provide fun, but also educational, indoor and outdoor activities to keep your little ones entertained and happy. Every day there is a set activities programme which you can dip in and out of, if you also want to spend some family time together during the day.

Spa & Restaurants

The resort has a good range of restaurants including three which offer a la carte or fine dining and an impressive wine list with over 40 carefully selected wines. There's pool and beach side service and nothing to sign for! Food ranges from Creole and Oriental buffet, with live cooking stations, overlooking the beach, to lively Mediterranean style eating. The comprehensive all-inclusive concept features a la carte and fine dining at four restaurants, plus a huge selection of internationally branded drinks, including champagne by the glass from 6pm.

Once you've exhausted yourself playing tennis, water skiing, windsurfing or working out in the gym, you can retreat to the Spa and indulge yourself with a blissful massage. The spa has over a dozen treatment rooms, plus saunas and steam rooms, balneotherapy and hydrotherapy rooms, and a peaceful swimming pool to relax beside.

Weather & Seasons

Mauritius has a tropical climate with year-round heat, refreshed by coastal breeze. The summer months are from December to April, when it can nevertheless be extremely humid, and the winter, such as it is, runs from May to November, and is cooler and drier. The best months to visit Mauritius are May to early December.

Getting Here

It's a 12 hour international direct flight from London to Mauritius, followed by a 10 minute private transfer.
