Shangri-La’s Le Touessrok Resort & Spa is one of the world's great resorts. It re-opened in 2015 after an extensive renovation and is now incredibly chic, offering beautifully styled rooms and contemporary dining options, and all set on the beautiful east coast of Mauritius.

Accommodation

With a collection of 200 rooms and suites plus three exclusive villas we will be able to suggest the perfect room type for you. If you are looking for the most contemporary styled room, step over the footbridge to Frangipani Island. Here you will find designer Junior Suites with cool colours, state of the art technology, funky egg-shaped baths, and beautiful ocean views. All rooms at Le Touessrok open onto furnished sea-facing terraces or balconies and feature en suite bathrooms with walk-in showers. For the utmost privacy and luxury, stay in one of their three-bedroom Villas which are secluded at the end of the beach. Each Villa - there's three in total - comes with discreet 24 hour butler service, private beach access and private swimming pools.

Activities & Experiences

A fantastic five star luxury hotel for couples and families, with a fabulous range of facilities including an extensive range of water sports and land-based activities. The sea and reefs provide outstanding diving, snorkelling, sailing, water-skiing and windsurfing, kayaking and glass-bottom-boat trips. These water sports are mainly based at Ile aux Cerfs. The resort also has a jogging track and gym, plus volleyball, aqua-gym lessons, archery, badminton and football. At the Tennis Academy, expert tennis coaching is available from the club professional. Special excursions can be arranged outside the resort, and can range from nature trails, deer stalking and cycling. Some of these activities will incur additional fees.

Families

For children the T-Club is the place to be (open daily 09.00 to 22.00) and is free for those aged 4 to 11 years old. There is a cool club house where a range of imaginative activities will enthral your child. There's also a Teen Club for 12 to 17 year olds - the perfect place to meet new friends from around the world.

Facilities & Services

There are four superb restaurants, in which the main one presents a "culinary theatre", serving nine different cuisines. Other facilities include two swimming pools, two bars, and a stunning CHI Spa and a hair and beauty salon. The resort has four floodlit tennis courts and is affiliated to the S-Tennis Academy, with expert coaching available. The Bernhard Langer designed 18 hole, par 72 championship golf course on Ile aux Cerfs is available to challenge advanced players, while remaining exciting and playable for recreational golfers.

Weather & Seasons

Mauritius has a tropical climate with year-round heat, refreshed by coastal breeze. The summer months are from December to April, when it can nevertheless be extremely humid, and the winter, such as it is, runs from May to November, and is cooler and drier.

The best months to visit Mauritius are May to early December.
