Taman Negara Resort, Taman Negara, Malaysia

Wonderful wildlife resort, with simple accommodation, nestled deep in the world's oldest rainforest

Price on application. Includes all staff, full board, concierge and 24 hour security.

Set in the Taman Negara National Park, home to the oldest tropical rainforest in the world, Taman Negara Resort is a comprehensive wildlife resort rather than a jungle retreat. Taman Negara is Peninsular Malaysia's largest National Park, covering 4343 square kilometres and home to a huge variety of ancient flora and fauna species. Nestled deep within the 130 million year old forest, theTaman Negara Resort is only accessible by longboat along the Tembeling and Tahan Rivers as the delicate sounds of nature echo around you.

The kampong-style wooden chalets are inspired by traditional Malaysian architecture and afford a simple but comfortable stay, with all of the eco-friendly chalets offering views of either the jungle or the Tembeling River for a true rainforest experience.

Activities & Experiences

The resort runs a variety of complimentary group excursions on land and water (private excursions available at an additional charge) that include night walks in the jungle, slow treks through the riverine, lowland and mixed dipterocarp forest to reach Teresek hill (about 1,130 feet above sea level). Try a balancing act on the canopy walk, for an aerial view of the beautiful rainforest.  Piinic lunch provided as part of your Full Board arrangement. Another fun trip is up to Lata Berkoh by boat, to enjoy the cool water pools and small cascading waterfall.

Facilities & Services

Along with expert guides, canopy walks, numerous jungle trails and a simple spa, the resort is home to authentic Malaysian restaurant,

Seri Mutiara.
