Tamarind Village, Chiang Mai, Thailand

Charming boutique hideaway in the heart of Chiang Mai

Rooms from around under £130 per night. Available as part of a tailor-made holiday in Thailand.

Tamarind Village is a beautiful boutique property surrounded by ancient temples and quaint shopping streets - the perfect base from which to explore the wonders of Chiang Mai.

Accommodation

Tamarind Village's layout was inspired by monastic cloisters and houses 45 rooms and suites. Intimate, serene and relaxing, the rooms reflect the rich ethnic diversity of northern Thailand, with fabrics and patterns drawn from various tribes of the region. All rooms feature modern, fully equipped bathrooms and all the mod-cons you'd expect.

Activities & Experiences

After a day out exploring magical Chiang Mai, it's lovely to return to the peaceful sanctuary of the hotel to relax by the pool or enjoy some pampering in the spa. The hotel has a number of activities available from temple visits to rock climbing and even rafting. Chiang Mai's famous 'Sunday Walking Street' is right outside the hotel for photo ops.

Facilities & Services

Ruen Tamarind is the only restaurant at the hotel but it is excellent, and serves a mix of both local Thai dishes and international cuisine. There's a good sized pool, dotted with sun loungers, and The Tamarind Spa offering a number of enticing treatments.

Weather & Seasons

The best time to visit Chiang Mai is between October and April. The cooler months of November to January are best if you don't like it too hot, with average daytime temperatures slightly below 30°C.
