Six Senses Uluwatu, Bali
Luxury cliff-top retreat with panoramic ocean views on Bali's spectacular south coast
7 nights from £2,325pp sharing a Sky Suite, including breakfast and transfers
Perched on the Bukit Peninsula, Six Senses brings a new level of luxury to southern Bali. Whilst the area is known for its limestone cliffs, beautiful beaches, and one of the top surf spots in the world (suitable for all levels), Six Senses is renowned for its impeccable service, luxury accommodation and first class spa and
wellness programmes.
Accommodation
Six Senses has 103 villas and suites, varying in size from the Sky Suites to the Cliff Pool Villas which have from one to three bedrooms. Every villa and suite is sea facing, with far reaching views over the Indian Ocean. All come with air-conditioning, mini bar, hair dryer, bathroom amenities (including bathrobes and slippers), safe, flat-screen TV with international channels, telephone and wifi. There's also a twice daily maid service and a complimentary private butler service.
Activities & Experiences
Let the Six Senses team guide you on how to spend your days: they arrange everything from sustainability tours to low-calorie-cookie making and cookery classes at Crudo; or hit some of those famous Balinese beaches - with or without a surf board. For snorkeling, the secluded, white-sanded Gunung Payung beach is ideal, with its looming cliffs and Hindu temple. Be sure to visit nearby Uluwatu Temple to discover the magic of this spiritual destination. Back at the hotel, there's fitness training, yoga and pilates classes, and open air Cinema Paradiso for movies in the evening.
Spa & Wellness
The Six Senses brand is synonymous with world-class spas and Six Senses Spa Uluwatu is no different. With 10 treatment rooms, an outdoor massage area, yoga pavilion and top notch gym, you're free to revitalise and relax however you wish. Balinese-inspired treatments feature local ingredients with a 'farm-to-massage' concept. For those wishing for a deeper experience, multi-day Integrated Wellness Programmes (focused on cleansing, weight loss, sleep or yoga) are tailored to help you achieve optimal health.
Facilities & Services
Dine in a choice of three restaurants, and enjoy all-day dining at the pool bar. For foodies, there's even a cooking school where you can master some traditional Balinese recipes. Food is sourced locally and much of the fresh produce comes from the organic garden. Other facilities and services include a fitness centre, yoga pavilion, water sports, and kids' club (with dedicated pool for children).
Weather & Seasons
Straddling the equator, Indonesia tends to have a fairly even climate year-round. Rather than four seasons, Indonesia has two – dry (from May to September; generally regarded as the best time to visit) and wet (October to April). Temperatures are pretty consistent year-round.
